The large majority of Dominicans are in favor of abortion under three circumstances

According to the results of a National Survey we conducted and published today in Santo Domingo, a large majority of Dominicans are in favor of decriminalizing abortion when a woman’s life or health is at risk, in the case of a non-viable pregnancy as well as when the pregnancy is the result of rape or incest.

The majority (79%) of the survey respondents supports the decriminalization of abortion when a woman’s life or health is at risk; 76% when the pregnancy is non-viable, in other words, when there is no possibility of the fetus surviving outside the uterus; and 67% when the pregnancy is the result of rape or incest.

Correcting Misinformation on Emergency Contraception in Honduras

Correcting Misinformation on Emergency Contraception in Honduras

Honduras is one of the few remaining countries in the world that bans access to emergency contraception, even though it can be found for sale illegally in some pharmacies throughout the country. Couple that with the Church’s ardent preaching that emergency contraception is an abortion pill and it’s easy to understand why citizens are initially resistant to legalizing its access.

Abortion in El Salvador

Abortion in El Salvador

El Salvador is one of the few remaining countries in the world to ban abortion under all circumstance. In fact, the law is so strict, women who have natural miscarriages are imprisoned because they are unable to prove the lost pregnancy was unintentional.

Our client came to us wanting credible, current data on El Salvadorians’ public opinion on abortion so they could strike while the political iron was hot and persuade legislators to relax this oppressive and dangerous law. We listened to the reasons and objectives our clients had in commissioning this research and designed a study and methodology to accomplish their goals.
